License
Gencode NG is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify and distribute the software, provided the original copyright notice and license text are preserved. The full license text ships with the source distribution and is available in the project repository.
Privacy
Gencode NG does not transmit your source code to AIdemic LLC. When you configure a cloud model provider, prompts and code snippets you choose to send are transmitted to that provider under their terms. When configured with a local runtime such as Ollama, no code leaves your machine. Anonymous, aggregate usage metrics are disabled by default and can be enabled explicitly in the configuration file.
Terms of Use
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. AIdemic LLC is not liable for any code generated, modified or executed by Gencode NG. Users are responsible for reviewing every diff and command before acceptance.
Third-party model providers
Gencode NG integrates with third-party large language model providers including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, and open-source runtimes such as Ollama. Use of these providers is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
Trademarks
"AIdemic", the AIdemic logo, and "Gencode NG" are trademarks of AIdemic LLC. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
